Re: Vince Young

Just finished watching it... HOLY COW some of those runs and throws he makes are just totally insane. When you can cram pack 6 minutes and 22 seconds of footage THAT action packed, you know that person is doing something right.

I believe my favorite actually is that 2nd run in which he stops in front of one guy, a guy HITS the guy in the back and they both fall down, and then Young proceeds around and drives it right into the endzone!

His release is extremely quick as well.. every time he throws the ball his arm has already moved forwards and the ball is going through the air before you can hardly realize it.. he definitely doesn't take his time with it, but that's what makes it so unpredictable, you never know if he's pump faking it or actually going to the air!

    Thanks for the video man.

He throws like a woman, and his release point is way to low.

    Re: Vince Young

He doesn't throw "like a woman", he just seems to have more of a side-armed motion mixed in there with it if you ask me. It does look a bit different than most quarterbacks, but I think that his quick release is what impresses me the most about him.

If he was really THAT bad, he wouldn't be the quarterback on the #1 NCAA football team in the nation, as well as headed towards the NFL as we speak.

    Re: Vince Young

No doubt about him being a good player, but with his release alot of balls will get knocked down.. His best attributes is his speed and him being 6'5 233lbs..

    Re: Vince Young

Yeah, I do agree with you on that. His size and speed are two things that make up for an extremely tough runner.. not many people can take him down by themselves, and that's very obvious just by studying that footage.

I see what you mean by his release being a bit low, but I think that he gets through it fast enough to make sure that the ball is out of there before too many defenders close in.

    Re: Vince Young

Yeah but this is the Ncaa, not the NFL. There will be alot more better, and quicker players than he has faced in his collegiate career.

    Re: Vince Young

True 'dat... in the NFL when he tries to run with the ball like he seems to enjoy doing, he'll more than likely begin running into guys that can level him without even trying.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the NFL treats him, though... you never know what could happen.

    Re: Vince Young

Your exactly right... It's true, he can create like no other. There are just way too many good players in the NFL that are just as quick and some that can flat out knock the crap out of you.
